SPOGO turns an iPhone, iPad, or Mac into an automated spotlight and follow-spot controller — OBSBOT/PTZ tracking, real DMX output over Art‑Net and sACN, fixture patching, and repeatable show presets.
What It Does
Built for spotlight operators, small crews, and venues that need reliable follow without a full lighting desk.
Automatic subject tracking through OBSBOT gimbal cameras, including Gimbal-as-Tracker mode for smooth, hands-free follow.
No extra hardware for smaller rigs — use an iPhone's camera and on-device vision as a lightweight tracking input.
Real fixture control over industry-standard Art‑Net and E1.31 / sACN — straight from your iPhone, iPad, or Mac.
Patch moving-head and spotlight fixtures — color, gobo, prism, and shutter — and save reusable fixture profiles.
Follow-assisted capture with coverage prompts, confidence guidance, and built-in safety recovery (Freeze / Recenter).
Save show setups, stage calibrations, and lighting looks so every performance starts from a repeatable, reliable state.
Before You Start
SPOGO is software that drives real hardware. Here's the gear that makes up a typical rig.
Runs SPOGO itself — operator controls, patching, and DMX output. Requires iOS/iPadOS 17 or macOS 14 or later.
RequiredAn OBSBOT PTZ camera enables full automated Follow tracking and Gimbal-as-Tracker mode. No OBSBOT yet? Use your iPhone's own camera to start.
OBSBOT recommendedSPOGO sends lighting data over Art‑Net or sACN (E1.31) via Wi‑Fi. You'll need a node/interface on the same network to convert that into physical DMX512 for your fixture.
RequiredAny DMX-controllable spotlight or moving-head fixture works. SPOGO ships with ready-made profiles (e.g. Behooper LS100W) and supports importing custom fixture profiles.
RequiredSetup
From unboxing to your first automated follow — no lighting desk required.
Install SPOGO on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac. Start on the Free tier to explore manual control, or subscribe to Pro / Studio for automated tracking right away.
Pair an OBSBOT camera (USB on Mac, or bridged wirelessly to iPhone) for automated tracking, or select your iPhone's built-in camera to test the workflow with no extra hardware.
Choose a fixture profile (or import your own), set your DMX transport — Art‑Net or sACN — and point it at your DMX node's IP address and universe.
Run the guided, follow-assisted calibration to map your stage, then switch from Manual to Assist or Follow. Freeze and Recenter are always one tap away.
