Terms and Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms

By enrolling in BFORTE Education programs, including piano lessons and summer camps, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. These terms apply to all students, parents, and guardians participating in our educational services.

2. Enrollment and Registration

2.1 Lesson Enrollment

  • Enrollment is required for all students before lessons begin
  • Students must be at least 3 years old to enroll in lessons
  • Parents/guardians must complete all required enrollment forms
  • BFORTE reserves the right to refuse enrollment based on availability or other factors

2.2 Camp Registration

  • Camp registration is on a first-come, first-served basis
  • Full payment is required to secure a camp spot
  • Camp spots are limited and not guaranteed until payment is received
  • Students must be between 7-14 years old for camp participation

3. Payment Terms

3.1 Lesson Payments

  • Lessons are billed monthly in advance
  • Payment is due by the 1st of each month
  • Late payments may result in suspension of lessons
  • All fees are non-refundable except as specified in these terms
  • Prices are subject to change with 30 days written notice

3.2 Camp Payments

  • Full payment is required at time of registration
  • Early bird pricing is available until May 1st
  • No refunds for missed camp days
  • Payment plans may be available upon request

4. Cancellation and Refund Policy

4.1 Lesson Cancellations

  • 24-hour notice is required for lesson cancellations
  • Missed lessons without proper notice will be charged at full rate
  • Make-up lessons may be offered at instructor's discretion
  • No refunds for missed lessons

4.2 Camp Cancellations

  • Cancellations made 30+ days before camp start: 75% refund
  • Cancellations made 14-29 days before camp start: 50% refund
  • Cancellations made less than 14 days before camp start: No refund
  • BFORTE reserves the right to cancel camps due to insufficient enrollment

5. Student Conduct and Expectations

  • Students are expected to arrive on time for all lessons and camp sessions
  • Respectful behavior toward instructors and other students is required
  • Students must practice regularly as assigned by instructors
  • Parents are responsible for student behavior and supervision
  • BFORTE reserves the right to dismiss students for inappropriate behavior

6. Health and Safety

  • Students must be in good health to participate in programs
  • Parents must notify BFORTE of any medical conditions or allergies
  • BForte is not responsible for personal injury during lessons or camp
  • Students should bring their own water and snacks for camp
  • COVID-19 protocols will be followed as required by local regulations

7. Liability and Insurance

  • BForte carries appropriate liability insurance
  • Parents/guardians are responsible for student's personal property
  • BForte is not liable for lost or damaged personal items
  • Students participate in programs at their own risk
  • Parents must provide emergency contact information

8. Photography and Media

  • BForte may take photos/videos during lessons and camp for promotional purposes
  • Parents must provide written consent for media usage
  • Students' names will not be used without permission
  • Parents may opt out of media participation

9. Privacy Policy

  • Personal information is collected for educational purposes only
  • Information will not be shared with third parties without consent
  • Contact information may be used for program updates and announcements
  • Parents may request removal from mailing lists at any time

10. Program Changes and Discontinuation

  • BForte reserves the right to modify programs, schedules, or instructors
  • 30 days notice will be provided for significant changes
  • Programs may be discontinued due to insufficient enrollment
  • Refunds will be provided for discontinued programs

11. Communication

  • Primary communication will be via email and phone
  • Parents are responsible for keeping contact information current
  • Important updates will be sent via email
  • Emergency situations will be communicated immediately

12. Termination

  • Either party may terminate enrollment with 30 days written notice
  • BForte may terminate enrollment for non-payment or misconduct
  • No refunds will be provided for early termination
  • Outstanding balances must be paid upon termination

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of New York State. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Long Island, NY.

By enrolling in BForte Education programs, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions. These terms constitute the entire agreement between you and BForte Education.
